During the demolition of an apartment-building in Vienna, at the history-charged location Schwarzenbergplatz 5, well- known as „The nasty Steyr-House“, black and white photographs were taken, framing equal corners on each floor of the abandoned homes. The pictures show the interior decor of private rooms at a state, where they are already vulnerable and obvously harried by outer forces. Details like broken windows, stones and water damage shift the homelike interiors into uncanny distance. The Photographs are shown within lightboxes, integrated in the sculpture. While the building slowly disappeared from top to bottom, the tower of cardboardboxes grew from the bottom up.
